GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PREPARATIONAspen Allergy Conference, 2008 July 22 – 26, 2008 Set-up Time Your poster must be set-up on Wednesday, July 23 before the opening session, in the Given Institute Garden area under the tent. Display Times Your poster will be on display during the entire conference to provide all registrants an opportunity to view them. This year there is also a scheduled CME credited poster session on Wednesday, July 23 from 5-7pm. All poster presenters must be available to answer questions during this time. You must remove your poster after the final lecture and closing on Saturday, July 26. Poster Sessions You are expected to be in attendance at your poster during the Poster Sessions, scheduled at various times each day, to explain your poster and respond to questions from your colleagues. Preparation of PostersThe poster surface area is 3' 11" high and 7' 11" wide. Do not exceed the size of the poster board. Prepare a heading to appear across the top of the board listing your poster title and authors. Keep the board heading within an area of 7" down from the top. You may use the entire width of the board. The lettering of this section should not be less than 1" high. A copy of your abstract, typed in large type, should be posted in the upper left-hand corner of the board. It is suggested that you make your poster in several small sections for easier transport and placement on the board. Do not mount illustrations on heavy cardboard because they may be difficult to keep in position on the poster board. Stick to standard paper sizes. Keep text and legends short. Make all print large and dark on a light background. You may want to consider encasing your pages in plastic since it has been known to rain. Pushpins will be provided to attach material to the poster board, at the registration desk. Distribution boxes to hold the photo-reproductions and any handouts that you may have will also be available at the registration desk. It is suggested that you include on your poster a name, address and phone number in case someone wants additional information. |
